Over the years I've performed my music at countless funeral services in
churches
and chapels as well as singing songs with my guitar at gravesides from
London - Birmingham - Liverpool and across the country.
I've
also been asked
on several occasions to read the service eulogies and to act as the
celebrant.
This has grown in
popularity, which has prompted me to add this to the services I can
provide.
As a live performer and songwriter, I have many years
experience in public speaking and communication skills, as well as the
ability to put together eulogy content befitting your needs for a
dignified and memorable farewell to your loved one.
I've been an
active member of the London Irish community all of my life and I'm
always moved by the remarkable stories behind the lives of our emigrant
parents, Grandparents and of course the UK born Irish.
If you'd
like to discuss the option of me conducting a eulogy on your behalf I'd
be honoured to hear from you.
How do we
organise the eulogy?
How is that done?
What's next?
How much does it cost?
Are there any extra fees?
Do you travel?
Can you liaise
with my Funeral director?
How do I contact you to
discuss?
How do I pay?
Do you
provide a Religious or Humanist service?
What do you wear on the day?
Can I have a
copy of the agreed eulogy?
Can you perform your services on the day as a singer too?
Faqs
How do we organise the eulogy?
We'll have an initial
conversation to discuss the service details for the day and to
explore exactly what you'd like conveyed and included within the
eulogy.
Top>
How is that done?
Under normal
circumstances by arranging a meeting in person with you. (Subject to
safe distancing) During the Covid crisis this can also be done via
phone and email.
Top>
What's next?
I'll put a thoughtful
and meaningful draft script together to include all of your
specified points and provide that to you for your perusal and
feedback. It will be edited by me until it meets with your full
approval.
Top>
How much does it cost?
My
fee is £290 all inclusive*.
Top>
Are there any extra fees?
My fee is based on the service being within the M25 area* and for
a standard service duration of up to an hour. For other locations an
additional travel fee may apply and advised to you on request.
Where any other costs may arise they would be discussed and agreed
prior to booking.
Top>
Do you travel?
I can travel
anywhere within the UK mainland.
Top>
Can you liaise
with my Funeral director?
Yes, I usually have a chat with
them to ensure things run smoothly on the day.
Top>
How do I contact you to
discuss?
You can call me on 07877 819255
or use my
online enquiry form.
Top>
How do I pay?
My preferred payment
method is via online banking. If you don't have that facility I can
also accept payments via credit or debit card and
PayPal.
Top>
Do you
provide a Religious or Humanist service?
My service is
essentially non denominational but references to the Faith of the
deceased in the eulogy are absolutely fine. Humanist services are
best conducted by a Humanist celebrant. I can suggest options on
request.
Top>
What do you wear on the day?
I usually dress in a dark suit and tie. I can dress less
formally where required.
Top>
Can I have a copy
of the agreed eulogy?
Yes, you'll be provided with a PDF
via email and hard copies on request.
Top>
Can you perform your services on the day as a singer too?
I can provide both options on the day where required. Joint fees
would be subject to requirements and negotiation.
