He was brilliant at interacting with the crowd, and everyone had a fantastic time. He really helped make the celebration such a special and memorable day. Highly recommended. Thanks so much, Sean!”

“Hi Seán. I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the music on Thursday evening. It was exactly what we wanted….great Irish songs which Dad would have loved but also allowed people to chat and mingle at the start of the evening. Later on, people danced, but we needed your type of songs for that part of the wake. The whole evening was perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks again for a great performance “.

FAQs

A typical church funeral mass will have room for up to 4 songs or hymns. A crematorium chapel service is usually shorter so 3 would generally be the maximum.

That would usually be 3-4 maximum.

Yes in most cases. I’m able to sing most hymns. I’ll be able to provide advice on that at the time of booking and make a few suggestions where needed.

You are welcome to compile a selection of your choice from my song lists here: If a song you’d like me to sing is not on the list, I can often learn it for the day, time permitting.

Most priests are fine with one or two Irish ballads during a mass, but some  only allow hymns. It’s best to discuss that with the priest beforehand. I can sing almost any Irish ballad of your choice pending the above. Priests rarely permit ‘Rebel’ songs during a mass. At a graveside there is no restriction. I have performed ‘Kevin Barry’ ‘Grace’, ‘Boolavogue’ and similar songs at gravesides.

At most church services a PA isn’t needed, due to the generally good acoustics and availability of the podium for me to use with the church microphone and PA. Alternatively I can bring the latest BOSE S1 powered speaker for church services and at the graveside (also works with battery) if needed @ £30 extra. I use a larger, more powerful BOSE array PA system for wakes.

You can see and hear my audio samplers and videos here. If you search for me on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, etc, you will also find most of my singles and albums.

You can find my fees here. To get a quote for areas outside of the M25 area to include travel, WhatsApp me or call me on 07877 819255.

The vast majority of funeral mass bookings are performed solo with guitar and a Bose PA. I do not generally use backing tracks except for some hymns by arrangement. Wake bookings are also mainly by me in a solo format but I often use a banjo, fiddle or concertina player in my duo and band line up.

The main members of my band play banjo, fiddle, concertina and bass. The duo includes one of the above and the 3 piece band a combination of the musicians of your preference based on availability at the time of your booking.

I cover the entire country and regularly play across England and Wales as well as occasionally in Scotland. Recent gigs outside of London include The Raglan Road Irish Pub in Nottingham, The Auld Chimp, Urmston, Manchester  The White Hart, Braintree,  Bracknell Rugby Club and many more, details available on request.

Depending on the location there may be a travel cost involved. This will always be kept to a minimum and included in your quote. There is NO vat payable.

A standard booking is for 2 hours including 1 x 15 minute break. A further option is 3 x 45 minute sets. It is often possible to extend the playing time on the day for an extra fee.

Feel free to call me directly on 07877 819255. You can also click on the WhatsApp logo at the bottom of your screen or use the enquiry form.

Yes, the majority of services I perform at are in Catholic churches. In some churches, usually at the discretion of the priest, non religious songs are not permitted at a funeral mass. Therefore it’s always best to run that by him before compiling the order of service. At a graveside or a crematorium chapel that is not an issue.
