Here’s a video of some of the most requested songs that I perform solo, with an acoustic guitar, at funeral services and gravesides.

Jealous of the Angels

I was first asked to sing ‘Jealous of the Angels’ at a funeral about 3 years ago and fell in love with it immediately.

Other Irish musicians who perform with me at Irish funerals and wakes

Distance is no object and I sing at Irish funerals and wakes regularly across the country.

During the last few months I’ve performed at Irish funeral services and wakes in London, Birmingham, Coventry, Manchester, Leeds, Watford and Bristol.

It’s a popular option with mourners to have that ‘special Irish song’ (or two) associated with the deceased, performed at the service.

“Thanks again Sean for the great set for Joy who was surely looking down on this great celebration. Also for the fantastic last song ‘Will you go lassie go’ which was one of the many favourites of Joy and I was singing it in hospital for Joy too. Thanks again and good that the Inn on the Lake have your details as they should have recommendations for wakes etc and we may have another celebration so will contact you again. All the best for the future”. Paul.

“Hi Sean, thanks for the performance on Wednesday at moms funeral. You did a great set and everyone loved it. The only one problem was we didn’t want you to stop! “Hi Sean,

I just wanted to touch base and say thank you so much for all your efforts.

My mum would have been so happy at the way you got everyone together with your music.

All those there expressed how great a day you made it, making a sad occasion into a joyous one, which is what we wanted.

I have also passed on your details to various members of my friends and family so I guess it won’t be to long until I hear you guys again.

So thank you again Sean from every one in the O’****** party.

God bless”,

Phil O.

“Hi Sean,

May we first say how pleased we were with you’re performance at my Dads funeral.

We were especially pleased with the song Mother Ireland “Come Home Paddy” that you learned for the day, it was one of my Dad’s favourite songs. You helped to make a sad day very special.

All who attended commented on how good you were, we will track you down and come and see you in the future”.

All the best,

Ken & Mairead.

Sean, I just wanted to say, sincere thanks to you guys for making the Wake on Friday a fantastic celebration for my Mum. You were the icing on the cake for us and we’re very grateful! Also I hope Millwall have a good season.:-)

Cheers,

Kevin.
